Brunei Nature Society
The Brunei Nature Society (BNS) aims to promote an interest and research into the natural history of Brunei by organising monthly lectures and outings for members, supporting conservation on endangered species, working with government agencies to enhance and protect the environment, and organising education programmes for the young.

Earth Hour
The Environment Youth Envoy (EYE) co-ordinated Earth Day, which was endorsed by the Department of Environment, Parks, and Recreation. For Earth Day, lights were switched off for an hour as is the norm. Ministers and several guests-of-honour attended the Earth Day events. Following the hour with lights switched off, there was a twenty minute walkathan around the Ministry of Development. After the walkathon, participants enjoyed a lively performance of environmental-related acoustic songs performed by members of the EYE network.

Serasa Beach Clean Up
The Environment Youth Envoy (EYE) participated in this public cleaning campaign along the coastal shoreline of the country. EYE also helped to organize Global Rush, an Amazing Race-like game which aims to increase participants' environmental awareness.

University of Brunei Darussalam Wildlife Club Guided Trip
University of Brunei Darussalam's Wildlife Club hosted a guided trip and cleaning campaign in conjunction with Earth Day. The guided trip was open to the public and brought participants into the Unusual White Sands area which is a relict formed during the Pleistocene era when the area was submerged under the ocean. Members of the Wildlife Club explored the area with the public, including the highly adapted carnivorous plants there. The event helped raise awareness of the biodiversity within the country. At the same time, a cleaning campaign was conducted at the site during the trip.
